Happy 2007 TNJ-style colour

The coloured, traditional-media portion of [this composited calendar page]. Victoria, Carbuckety and Etcetera of The New Jellicle Chronicles ring in the New Year. Confetti, whoo!

I got a little layer-happy with Carbuckety's colouring, the markings ought to be a little sparser, and the "orange' on both he and Etcetera scanned in with a bizarre amount of red-saturation, it's really closer to ochre irl. To balance that, I rrrreally like the colour of those little patches on Victoria; i *think* it's pearl white but I'll have to double check. It's yummy and I must find ways to re-use it.

Carbuckety's lack of any matching hands/feet makes me go "aww"
And, as with prior incarnations of this image, let me reitterate: drawing feet. FEET! = oy.

As with [Bonocchio & Jiminy Hendrix], I'm seeing about the look I can get by leaving no actual white paper showing through (background doesn't count, it's not in the final composite ) except on select highlights...
